Subject: Secretary of State letter re wind turbines :

Dear Mr. Bloom,

I have just read with interest your article in the Grimsby Evening Telegraph re the above.  Your efforts are very much appreciated as I spent five years opposing the 20 turbines at Conisholme in Lincolnshire - my neighbours have problems with shadow flicker, and the noise problems which I experience are dreadful as I live in what I now realise is a 'Hot Spot' as mentioned in ETSU and totally ignored in any planning applications.  I do feel that ETSU is very out-of-date and should be reviewed, incorporating all current data, as I have spoken to wind farm companies and they acknowledge that the regulations are obsolete but that 'they are all they have to work to at the moment'!

Please keep up the good work - our best days now are when it is foggy!!!!!

Regards

Jill Lingard

Subject: windfarm letter

Dear Mr Bloom

I have read your excellent letter about windfarms on your website. We are just about to go to appeal on a windfarm here in North Shropshire, which would be only 740m from our farm house and 110m from our boundary. It has caused nearly 3 years of severe distress in this rural community and residents have had to raise nearly £80,000 to pay for our evidence to be heard at the appeal.

Would it be possible to have permission to use your letter in our local press?

Please send this letter to the national papers!

Best wishes to you and thank you for standing up for those whose lives could be blighted by turbines.
